WILDLIFE

Day 1
Arrive at J.K.I.A airport Nairobi, receive and transfer to a hotel. city tour if the time allows. Meals included. Overnight in the hotel
Day 2

Depart after breakfast for batian view camp or similar in mount Kenya region with gat safaris minibus. Arrive. Rest of the day free to enjoy various activities.. Accommodation in camping area in tents or in cottages on full board basis. Dinner and overnight at the camp
Day 3

Batian view camp to old moses hut
After breakfast a short transfer from the camp to sirimon gate. Start walk from altitude 2660m to 3300m above sea level. 3to 4 hours walk. Lunch en-route. Dinner and overnight at old moses hut.
Day 4

Old moses hut to shipton hut
Depart early morning for shipton hut through likii valley and mackinder valley to shipton hut. Altitude4,236m above sea level. Lunch enroute. Dinner and overnight at shipton hut. 6 hours walk.

Day 5
Shipon to mackinders hut
After breakfast leave shipton hut for mackinders hut in teleki valley. Altitude 4300m above sea level. Dinner and overnight at mackinders hut.
3 hours walk.
Day 6

Mackinders to Meru mt. Kenya bandas
Wake up to pre dawn attempt of the summit. It takes four hours to pt. lenana, 4,985m above sea level, and then down to mintos hut for early breakfast before proceeding to Meru mount Kenya bandas.
Day 7

Meru mount Kenya bandas to samburu
After breakfast a short walk down towards chogoria. On the way meet with your van for the safari. Continue to bantu camping in nanyuki, for dinner and overnight. Lunch on the way. You will have a cook with you to prepare and serve you the meals.
Day 8
Depart in the morning for samburu national park. Arrive at the camp site with a game drive en route. Afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at the camp.
Day 9

Full day at samburu with a game drives. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 10
Depart after breakfast for nakuru with a game drive enroute. Lunch on the way.check in at a budget hotel in nakuru town for dinner and overnight.

Day 11
Full day at lake nakuru national park with game drives. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and overnight at the camp site in nakuru national park

Day 12
Depart after breakfast for a visit to menengai crater and then to masai mara national park where the big five (buffalo, elephants, lions, leopards & rhinos), wildebeest & zebras can be spotted with lots of other animals. Thousands of wildebeest migrate between July and October. Arrive at the camp site outside the park for dinner and overnight.

Day 13
Full day at maasai Mara with a game drives. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and overnight at the camp

Day 14
After breakfast depart for Nairobi. Arrive for late lunch and then transfer to j.k.i. airport for the return flight home.

INSIGHT

The scenery surrounding this designated World Heritage Site is breath-taking. It is pristine wilderness with lakes, tarns, glaciers, dense forest, mineral springs and a selection of rare and endangered species of animals, high altitude adapted plains game and unique montane and alpine vegetation. Visitors can enjoy mountain climbing, camping and caving with the mountain’s rugged glacier-clad peaks providing the perfect backdrop. The trekking roads in Mt Kenya include the Summit circuit in Mt Kenya, Nelion normal route in Mt Kenya, the Burget route in Mt Kenya and the Timau route in Mt Kenya.

Mt Kenya National Park in Mt Kenya has a wide variety of wild animals in Kenya including the white tailed buffalo, Black rhino, black fronted duikers, leopards, genet cat, giant forest hog, waterbuck, antelopes, olive baboon, black and white Colubus and Sykes monkeys, bongo antelope, suni antelope, rock hyrax, albino zebra and the hyena. There are a wide birds species in Mt Kenya National Park in Kenya which include the red headed parrot, bronze-napped pigeon, scaly francolin the great sparrow hawks, crowned hawk eagle and the Abyssinian long-eared owl.
